Leonie Brinkema
U. S. District Court Judge
Leonie Brinkema began her legal career with the Department of Justice in 1976. Increasingly significant appointments followed, culminating with President Bill Clinton appointing her to the U.S. District Court. Renowned as a fair and diligent jurist, she has heard major cases in such areas as freedom of speech, espionage, and terrorism.
Ms. Brinkema graduated from Rutgers with a degree in philosophy.
